ChaosCommandMagician - October 30, 2006 02:31 PM (GMT)
I haven't ever been able to assemble my dream team because I never could link up the original Pokemon Blue with the newer Pokemon Sapphire. But if I could, I'd have a team like this:

Blastoise
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Bubblebeam

Blaziken
Blaze Kick
Double Kick
Flamethrower

Beedrill (for those pesky Psychic Pokemon)
Twinneedle
Cut
Agility

Gardevoir (and I use a pesky Psychic myself XP)
Psychic
Confusion
Calm Mind
Flash

Articuno
Blizzard
Ice Beam
Fly
Peck

Zapdos
Thunder
Drill Peck
Fly
Thunderbolt

I don't recall the moves I had, it's been so long since I've played and I can't find either of the cartridges. However, I do remember some of them and the moves are listed below. Also, I'd have the stats, but again, I can't find the cartridges. But this is my dream team, and it actually coveres most types of pokemon in terms of advantage. The only type it doesn't cover would be Ghost types, which are not that hard for me otherwise.

Chaos Hell Dragon - October 31, 2006 02:41 AM (GMT)
keep dreaming...but i wish too, sigh, maybe the diamand and pearl game will be good enough so i dont care,lol,oh...beedrill will die with one phychic, because poison and low sp.def, but yours may be special,^.^

ChaosCommandMagician - October 31, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
Actually, it is, my Beedrill, while not level 100 yet, is much faster than most any Psychic pokemon. This lets him do his twinneedle move, which is a 2x attack that's super effective, before most psychics can get off a good attack. This is one reason why I like to use beedrill for destroying psychic pokemon. I had actually used him, about 5 levels lower than Sabrina's pokemon, and knocked each ofhtem out with one move apiece, not one hit on beedrill. So ya, I'd say he's special.

chaosmage - October 31, 2006 03:41 PM (GMT)
Alakazan, Starmie, and Gardevoir(the most common psychics) are all faster then beedrill. And they will all kill him with just 1 psychic.

ChaosCommandMagician - October 31, 2006 05:24 PM (GMT)
Alrighty, When I fought Alakazam, I got the first move on him DESPITE a lower level. I haven't tried Beedrill on an equal level Starmie yet, nor Gardevoir. I jsut haven't had the chance nor the resources to do that. So, if you care to argue again on Alakazam, feel free. My Beedrill got first strike on an Alakazam that was at least 5 levels up on him. So say what you will, the implication is obvious. Now, maybe they rebalanced Beedrill so that he wasn't so fast, and if that is the case so be it. Beedrill will usually get first strike against most Pokemon of similar level, regardless of what pokemon it is. Such is my experience with him, and believe me when I say he has proven more useful than my other pokemon in certain battles. In fact, I wouldn't have Caught Articuno without Beedrill's lucky Poisoning on him.

chaosmage - October 31, 2006 07:20 PM (GMT)
Bedrill's base speed:75
Alakazam's base speed:120
Starmie's base Speed:115
Gardevoir's base speed:80

Unless you've put a buttload of Ev's into speed, and they haven't put any, you shouldn't be faster then them at all, except for maybe Gadevoir who's speed isn't super important anyway. Also, if you wan't to test that team out use netbattle. You'l play against some really good teams with that.

elearu - October 31, 2006 08:14 PM (GMT)
Since my first post saying it got deleted:

STOP POSTING YOUR SHITTY TEAMS IN MY puppy THREAD

ChaosCommandMagician - November 1, 2006 12:14 AM (GMT)
This is part of the reason I quit Pokemon. People are always argueing over which team is best. And one more thing, If Alakazam'z base speed is so high, why is it I got the first strike despite lower level? could it be perhaps that Beedrill gets MORE speed per level than Alakazam? Enough that he'd have more speed 5 levels lower past a certain point? Ever consider that?

elearu - November 1, 2006 01:52 AM (GMT)
Did it use a normal move, some moves make it go last. It could have a speed reducing Nature and no Speed EVs(if this was ingame)

If it was ingame, then it doesn't matter anyway. Unless you had EV'd, bred for Natures/IVs, and were playing competitively with Link Cable.

ChaosCommandMagician - November 1, 2006 02:07 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't know what move he'd have used because I had made the first move, and after the first hit of twinneedle, Alakazam was pretty hurt. Then there is the second attack which is guaranteed to hit if the initial attack hits. Also, this is the ORIGINAL pokemon Blue game. There is no breeding for Speed and no move attributes that may make a pokemon attack second or first (with the exception of Quick Attack).
