Title: Roid Cards

[Chaos]Knight - January 10, 2007 06:50 AM (GMT)
Dragonroid
Attribute: Wind
Level: *****
Atk: 2200
Def: 1400
[Machine/Effect]
You can summon this monster without a tribute. If you summon this monster in this way your opponent draws a card during the end phase.

Roid's Calling
Normal Trap Card
This card can only be activated when a monster(s) have been removed from your side of the field. Special Summon 1 "Roid" monster from your hand or deck to the field in face up Attack or Defense position.

Vehicroid Illusion
Quick-Play Spell Card
This card can only be activated during your opponent's Battle Phase and if you have a face up "Jetroid" on your side of the field. During this turn you can activate Trap Cards or Quick-Play Spell Cards from your hand during 1 of the battles this turn. If the activated Trap(s) or Spell(s) negate the attack of 1 of your opponents monsters your opponent's Battle Phase ends.

(^Broken Imo*)

Super Jumbo Jetroid
Attribute: Wind
Level: ********
Atk: 2400
Def: 2600
[Machine/Fusion/Effect]
"Jetroid" + "Gyroid"
This monster can not be Summoned except by Fusion Summon. Once per turn if this card would be destroyed as a result of battle it is not destroyed. Also if this monster is selected as an attack target you may activate 1 Quick-Play Spell Card or Trap Card from your hand.

Roid's Combination
Normal Trap
This card can only be activated when your opponent declares an attack on a "Decoyroid". Special Summon 1 "Decoyroid" from your deck or graveyard. The monster Special Summoned by this effect is destroyed during the End Phase.

Dragonroid is an interesting card. But you amy want to specify that its summon still counts as a normal summon if you summon it without a tribute. And about Vehicroid Illusion, you're right it is a broken card. However, since it is reliant on a single other card, it makes it balanced instead. Also, Super Jumbo Jetroid I feel should have another Fusion Material monster and you might want to change the name too.

You dont really have to. It says you dont have to summon it with a tribute, it wouldnt count as a special summon. What do you suggest for Jumbo Jetroid?

ChaosCommandMagician - January 11, 2007 01:13 PM (GMT)
Two things, for one, whenever you special summon, you almost never require a tribute to summon the monster. So, you need to specify that you can normal summon the monster without a tribute. Otherwise, the rulings can get confusing. Anyway, as for Jumbo Jetroid, I suggest that you add Dragonroid as a Fusion Material monster, and then make the stats to as follows:

Dragonhawk Copteroid
Wind
8 stars
2800 ATK
2000 DEF
Machine/Fusion/Effect
[Dragonroid + Jetroid + Gyroid]
This card cannot be special summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this card is attacked, you may activate 1 Quick-play spell OR 1 Normal Trap from your hand. Once per turn, this card is not destroyed as a result of a card effect.

Not too broken, because battle will automatically destroy this guy regardless. But he's definitely an answer to Zaborg since Zaborg not only doesn't match his stats, but also, unless your opponent can summon two zaborgs in one turn or something to that effect, Dragonhawk Copteroid would still be ok.

Actually, I like the original effect of Super Jumbo JetRoid. Monster effects would still work on him. Overall they're great cards though.

PS- What's a Decoyroid?

ChaosCommandMagician - January 12, 2007 02:22 AM (GMT)
If a Decoyroid is face-up on the field, your opponent must attack it first before any other attacks are declared. It may overlap with another decoyroid allowing you to create a "no attack" situation because the effect of one decoyroid will cover the other decoyroid, and the first will be covered by the second.

Yea thnx.

@ CCM: I think Super Jumbo Jetroid is a little better.

ChaosCommandMagician - January 15, 2007 01:02 PM (GMT)
It was only my suggestion as to what you should do with Jumbo Jetroid. It's your card, you don't have to take my suggestion. Why don't you check out some of my cards in my own custom card thread? Maybe you'll be inspired for other new cards.

Woo, Vehicroid love. I rather like Dragonroid, but it doesn't fit the Vehicroids as, like... a vehicle. =p It looks like a decent card, though. (Vehic)Roid's Calling (I can't stand it when people call them "'Roids," I dnno why. =p) is good too, and Vehicroid Illusion doesn't seem -that- broken. I personally thought of a Dozeroid a while back, and a Submarineroid before there was even a Submarineroid. =p All and all, these look pretty good.
