Title: Dumbest Kid Ever?
Description: A trade that probably killed him
Himura999 - March 9, 2007 05:46 PM (GMT)
Last Monday night I was running our stores Yu-Gi-Oh tournie, it was going pretty smoothly, typical few kids being either increadibly rude or in all aspects of the word jerks. After I'd given out prizes my fellow employee turned to me and pointed to a kid. "That boy over there, just traded his iPod for his friends rares." Needless to say my jaw dropped to the floor before I started laughing I fell on the floor. The kid left and all I could think of was that he was so dead, or we were for letting it happen. I told some of the other players who were friends and all of us just laughed our asses off, amazed at this kid's stupidity for trading his like 10g iPod for a stack of crap I won't even buy into the store.
A priceless little bit of funny, from your local card shop.

Himura999 - March 9, 2007 08:38 PM (GMT)

Himura999 - March 9, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
LOL Or the stupidity in them, I can't really tell witch yet.
Kai Hiwatari - March 11, 2007 06:04 AM (GMT)
yeah the parents will get pissed at the store.
Himura999 - March 11, 2007 08:10 AM (GMT)
Have to wait and see this monday, I doubt if the kid will ever be back to our tournies.

If I had known that would've happened, I would've given the kid what's left of my stuff, and made an extra 200+ dollars...
chaosmage - March 11, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)
Lmao. Yay for stupid people.
[Chaos]Knight - March 11, 2007 07:39 PM (GMT)
Lol, stupid people rule the world obv. I sold Cell Phones at locals once, but not traded xD. I wouldnt do that(though I had like 5 phones to sell and 1 that I use xD). I could prolly understand if he had a bunch of IPods and didnt care if he lost just 1 xD.
Alantis - March 12, 2007 12:39 PM (GMT)
what on earth is this world coming to? and why wasn't i there to make this trade? somehow i think this will get legal.
Himura999 - March 12, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
I don't know man, if I'd had the chance I would have but the chance for legal rammifications could be pretty high considering the kid's not fully aware of the value of the item he so flagrently traded away.

When I used to smoke weed, I played YGO and MTG, and I'd get so messed up that I would see things. @_@ Never again. lol
|Loaded Dice| - March 30, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
I had friends that did that every week lol. And for some odd reason, the two of them played better.
mikahael - March 31, 2007 06:23 PM (GMT)
I'd never do drugs. But i did get drunk 1 time and the next day had a huge hangover went to the local tourny and did much better then i ever had before
|Loaded Dice| - April 3, 2007 01:39 PM (GMT)
My funnest day lol. I won a tourny, then after that went to dark zone for the day for a party. Got high, then went back to play dark zone. That was trippy lol.
Himura999 - April 3, 2007 03:28 PM (GMT)
heh I'd almost be impressed LD.
DarkMageWalt - April 26, 2007 07:02 PM (GMT)
ok, so what you are telling me is that you run tournaments in your local store, amirite?
now, you, running the tournament, allow a trade to go through in which a 10 year old traded an ipod for a bunch of rares? shouldn't you have intervened to stop it? in every store i go to tournaments in, kids under the age of 14 cannot make trades without the TO or judge approving of them. case closed.
Himura999 - May 30, 2007 08:49 AM (GMT)
Actually Walt I'm not any sort of official TO for the game, and we're not registered through Upper Deck for rated tournies. I gave thought to it, but I don't think it necessary.
As far as 'allowing' the trade to go through, I didn't know about it until I overheard players talking about it after the trade went down and the kid who gave the iPod left. There was really nothing I could do about it to stop it.
Tallgeese - July 24, 2007 02:52 PM (GMT)
Maybe he's one of those rich spoiled kids that just doesn't care about that Ipod because it wasn't the color he wanted but rich mommy will buy him a new one no problem.
Forbidden Gods - July 24, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
Are we talking about just normal rares for an Ipod? I actually know some people who would do that, when they're sober and on anything anyways. They actually trade smartly when they aren't sober etc lol.
