For those who don't know how the tiers work, i'll explain.

Ubers:Pokemon too good for competitive play. Almost all players refuse to play against them and most tournaments ban them anyway.

Overused:The cream of the crop non-uber pokemon. Expect to see most teams using only these, with maybe 1 or 2 pokemon from lower tiers.

Borderline:These pokes either just miss the cut for being OU(Nidoking, Jumpluff, Flygon, etc,) but are certainly still playable there. The others aren't good enough for there but are broken in UU play(Registeel, Entei, Cloyster, etc.)

Underused:Far from the best, but definately not the worst. These pokemon generally are used in tournaments specifically for them, although a few are decent even in the OU enviornment.

Never Used:These are pokemon you would only use for 4 possible reasons:

1:You're playing in a NU tourney,

2:You're stoned out of your mind

3:You lost a bet

4:You think they are cute/cool

In other words, they suck, and aren't even remotely competitive.

Well, out of the 3 starters Turtwig and Chimchar are the best. I would definatly say Piplup is the worst.

I started with chimchar :P and caught a starly.

Thats what I did, then I got a shinx and a Bidoff.
