Description: Please Take it Down

Naruto Uzumaki - September 6, 2007 08:55 PM (GMT)
Can someone please take forced log in down? Gets kind of annoying. Just make most of the forums invisible to guests.

One would assume it's because the program they were created with allows them to log in.

Spam bots will still register and validate. Hmm, you could make it so that a validation intro area, where you have to post an introduction topic. Once you make a post, and an admin sees it's legitimate, they can approve your account and put it in a regular posting group. If it's not, then it can be controlled.

that's a turn off for actual members. we just have to keep cleaning up the spambots.

You can DEAL with the Spam Bots. Are you IMO or something? Its not hard to spot one. Even before they register.

yes...that is why we can clean them up. otherwise we would have to use member approval, which is a turn off for people.

I'd rather just start posting than waiting around for an admin to approve me.

same here and halve the time the admin doesnt know the new member, so they could be good or a complete spambot.
