He can't lose because he fights for his friends.

While I would have like him more is he had his Vanguard outfit, Ike is still a monster. His attacks take a lot of timing to use right, but no one can KO as early on as he can.

Yeah, only problem with him I have is his speed. Its just awful. I cannot stand having slow attacks, even if they are epic.

His speed isn't THAT bad.

...okay, it IS that bad. -_-;

Well, I usually just wait till the opponent comes to me and use counter attack. Then I unload. That makes up for his lack of speed, I think.

At least he's not Ganondorf slow. Anyway, his >B is good for quick approaches, and his Neutral A combo is surprisingly fast and powerful. And if you're really good you can time the super armor frames of Aether and Eruption to absolutely wreck people.

If you have trouble with his speed, > + B to move faster.

Frequent Counters and Aethers make Ike a beast. Plus his > + B cancel into a Counter is deadly.

I seem to be reading that as:

"Spamming Counter and Aether is pro".

Ike is my top character; spamming is a thing I don't need...and if anything, I rarely find myself using Counter, and the only time I'm using Aether is to recover when I want to come back down fast or recover...but I rarely find myself in a position to need to recover with Aether. =/

If you think Ike is slow, then play someone else.

If anything, it seems I'm best with characters that are "slow". My 2nd best is Ganondorf. o_o

Yeah ike is slow...and honestly b/c of that it has god me killed by him alot...i know it sounds dumb but its true.

ike has tricks to him that just make him annoying-ish.
the side-B cansel as said into a counter or a upSmash can hurt alot T.T

Aether spam can suck sometime to get hit by...but god it looks cool lol.

and the worst is the moonwalk backair...grrrr
i just hear of this and can do it some...but not alot,
it where you are near the opponent and do a dashdance sort of, but you break it off and shortjump his back air -which IS fast- and KO the guy while he has that OH **** moment.

me thinking his slow made me get his by alot of these T.T

but his most annoying thing is his side smash. to me at least. my instincts automatically flair when i see it and i side step at the same second that it takes ike to prepare for his smash, i have that sec. of oh...crap...and then i get smashed off the screen followed by that fighter stance of ike sticking his sword in the ground,lol.

all the characters in brawl are competative...well...maybe except R.O.B.
Ike surely isnt one of the worst. but GOD i miss ROY T.T

Anyways... Sometimes slow is good, and it is good with Ike. He can be pretty awesome even in the hands of an amateur. I don't use him much, but I usually use him when people use other sword characters. He's the best sword character IMO.

idk about best, link kinda kills that department, but he is probably the best 4 player free-for-all character. i mean...not EVERY1 can dodge that forward smash >.<

and how do you cansel his sideB? i cant seem to find out.
