Title: Garden City, Mi

I'm not sure if this is in the right section, so feel free to move this topic if it isn't.
I'm always trying to go to a tourniment or sneak preview for yugioh. I live outside Detroit, so the closest place for this kind of thing is in Garden City. It isn't very far away, but the reason I can't go is because my parents don't think it's a good area and worry about my safety during this type of thing. So has anybody here been to an event in Garden City, and if so could you please give some assurance to my parents that's it's fine to go there to play a card game?

Went there for the TEAV sneak. The city might not look all that nice but i felt very safe and you are in the gaming center all day so its a perfectly safe place.

I've been to a number of events in Garden City. It's safe.

well, physically safe anyway...watch your stuff. people steal all the time.
More or less, people don't host tournaments in unsafe areas.

I've been to quite a few in NC, SC, and GA but like fc said thiefs are puppy everywhere and if you leave anything anywhere 99% of the time you arnt getting it back.
Sit down open your book and let people come to you then ask to see theres with yours in your lap.
To many nerds for anyone to try to fight you.
